The Plot Thickens Garden Club Lecture Series Wednesday May 15th @ 6:30pm. Our guest speaker will be Kara Matthews, Horticulturist at Coutts Centre near Nanton held in the Library 6:30 to 8:30pm.  When it comes to companion planting, it can be difficult to remember who likes who. Nobody wants to live next to someone who makes their life difficult.  Kara discovered a wonderful online tool that anyone can use to design, plan and journal your garden each year. There is a free version, and a subscription version. This lecture will introduce this tool, and explore how to use it, and also play around with the companion plant tool.  Come join us for a fun and interesting evening with snacks and an attendance draw. Pre-registration would be appreciated by contacting: help@stavelylibrary.ca; or texting 403-682-8880, but drop-in is welcome as well.  There will be a cover charge of $5 for each participant for this presentation.

New this Month - We will also have a Perennial Swap at this lecture–Please label and pot healthy plants in individual, sturdy containers. This is a great opportunity to find new homes for your extra plants, or exchange them for new ones. Price between $3 to $5 each plant with proceeds to go toward the Library for future gardening presentations.

If  you are interested in gaining knowledge of plants, gardens and gardening,  watch for the next garden lecture coming in June - Date and topic will be posted each month on the Library Website: www.stavelylibrary.ca; Stavely Municipal Library Facebook page, and Stavely newsletter. All manner of gardeners are welcome – from pot to plot!
